Welcome to PAWer’s Wish!
Here are a few important things to keep in mind for using our services. These rules help ensure the safety, comfort, and happiness of all paws. Please read thoroughly and send us your House Rules Agreement once you've reviewed everything. Don’t hesitate to message us if you have any questions or concerns.
📅 Reservations & Appointments
PAWer’s Wish reserves the right to refuse service or admittance to any pet who:
- Lacks proof of vaccinations
- Shows signs of contagious illness
- Demonstrates aggressive behavior
- Does not meet our health or temperament standards
All communication is handled via Facebook Messenger, except:
- The initial inquiry form
- Your appointment confirmation email
📝 Those two will be sent and received via email for our internal record-keeping.
🚙 Pet Transport
We accept bookings via:
- Facebook Messenger
- Inquiry Form
📍 Please mark messages as Emergency or Urgent if it’s time-sensitive. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
🏨 Boarding
Room reservations are only confirmed when:
- Confirmation email has been sent
- Current vaccinations are on file
- All balances are paid (if extending a stay)
🐾 DayCare
- Reservation required
- Schedule available after Wednesday for the following week
- Limited to Spring Break to Halloween Holidays
(Closed from Halloween week to end of Spring Break)
- Not available on weekends, PCS seasons or the following U.S. holiday weekends:
Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day
🎓 PoochCamp / Basic Training
Can be combined with Boarding or DayCare.
Training typically lasts 2 weeks.
Appointment required.
🧼 Luxury SPA Course
Appointments required.
Due to high demand, we are currently not accepting new grooming clients.
Regular slots are fully booked. Boarding guests and existing regulars only.
❌ Cancellations / No Shows
Non-Holiday Cancellations
- No penalty
- After 3 “No Show / No Call” instances, future bookings will be suspended for 3 months
Holiday Period Cancellations
- Cancelling within 3 days of check-in = forfeiture of 2-night fee
No Show / No Call
- Defined as arriving 30+ minutes late with no notice
- Your slot will be canceled and unavailable for rebooking for 3 months
- No penalty fee, but the slot will be lost
🕐 Check-In / Check-Out
By appointment only.
📍 Standard Check-in/out time: 12:00 PM
Time can be adjusted between 10:00 AM–5:00 PM (latest 8:00 PM) by request made the day before.
- Check-In time can be adjusted between: 12PM – 5PM
- Check-Out time can be adjusted between: 10AM – 1PM
⚠️ Important: A 15–30 minute intro is needed each time for safety and pack integration—even for returning pups.
⏰ Appointments will be cancelled if you arrive more than 30 minutes late.
Early/late check-ins/outs are possible only if arranged the day before.
🔸 Not acceptable Before 10AM. After 8PM = 1 extra night fee added
🩺 Pet Health & Safety
- Pets must be in good health, able to walk unassisted
- No pets in late-stage illness or with contagious diseases
- Must be flea/tick protected & on heartworm prevention (esp. Jun–Nov)
- No unneutered or unspayed dogs accepted (except for transport clients)
- Case for the urgent:
- Manner belts required for unneutered dogs
- Will be separated if aggressive or if an unspayed female is present
📦 Medications must be:
- In the original bottle
- With clear dosage instructions
🩺 Vaccination Requirements
To ensure the health and safety of all our furry guests, PAWer’s Wish requires that all pets meet JAPAN’s vaccination standards prior to check-in. Documentation must be confirmed by the day of arrival.
🐶 Dog Guests
Dogs must be at least 16 weeks old and provide proof of current vaccinations. Titers are accepted with proper documentation.
Required Vaccines:
- Rabies: Must be current within the last year.
Note: Japan accepts 3-year Rabies vaccines, but it must still be updated annually to meet the national standard. - DHPP: Must be current within the last year.
- Bordetella (Kennel Cough):
- Must be current within the last year, or
- Within 6 months, depending on the vaccine used
- Fecal Exam: Must be current within the last year
- Monthly Flea/Tick Preventative & Heartworm Prevention:
Now REQUIRED (previously highly recommended)
Regularly expected (Heartworm) May–November
For Puppies:
Must be at least 12 weeks old
Must have completed the first two series of vaccinations, including Bordetella
🐱 Cat Guests
Cats must be at least 16 weeks old, provide vaccination records, and must be spayed or neutered (no exceptions).
Required Vaccines:
- Rabies: Must be current within the last year
- FVRCP: Must be current within the last year
- Feline Leukemia: Must be current within the last year
- Fecal Exam: Must be current within the last year
- Monthly Flea/Tick Preventative & Heartworm Prevention:
Now REQUIRED (previously highly recommended)

📢 ATTENTION PET PARENTS!
For the safety of your pets, your family, and your PAWsome sitter...
🦟 Tick & Flea Prevention is Now MANDATORY
Due to rising cases of a deadly tick-borne illness (SFTS), all pets must be on tick and flea prevention to use my services.
- SFTS is a serious illness spread by tick bites.
- Fatal for 60% of cats and 40%+ of dogs.
- No cure available (as of July 15. 2025) – prevention is critical!
- Can spread from pets to humans via saliva or body fluids.
🚨 If your pet shows high fever, seizures, or lethargy, wear gloves and a mask, and see your vet immediately!
Heartworm Prevention Season: May to November (Misawa Area)
Current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention — Our dog run includes grass, soil, and trees
Your pet’s health is our top priority. Thank you for helping us protect them! 🐶🐱💕
🧸 Boarding/DayCare Requirements
- Dogs must pass an evaluation before joining
- Must be 12+ weeks old, with at least 2 rounds of vaccinations
- On monthly flea/tick + heartworm prevention
- Must be spayed/neutered to continue in DayCare
🍽 Food & Treats
- Fed twice daily (morning & evening); lunch available if requested
- Bring food in labeled Ziploc bags or containers, one per feeding
- Extra bags appreciated in case of delays
🚨 If your pup runs out:
- House food (Royal Canin, Avoderm, Fish4Dog) available for ¥500/day
🛏 Bedding & Belongings
- Clean bedding is provided
- Bring your own crate = 10% OFF for stays over 2 weeks
- Personal blankets or clothing with your scent welcome
- Toys: hard chew toys, ropes, balls accepted
- All belongings will be labeled if needed
🛁 Long Stay Maintenance
Daily grooming is included (basic brushing only).
🛁 Full SPA Courses available for stays 2 weeks or longer
Options like shampooing, nail clipping, deshedding, etc., can be added upon request.
💊 Medications
- Administered free of charge
- Must be in original vet-issued bottles
- Clear dosage must be provided via message or printed note
💥 Property Damage
We reserve the right to charge for damages caused by your dog.
This includes destruction of:
- Beds
- Flooring
- Walls
- Fixtures
🐾 If you think your pet may be at risk of causing damage, let us know. We’ll help choose the best room setup for them.
💳 Payment
Payment due at check-out.
We accept:
- Credit Cards: VISA, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover, Diners Club, JCB
- Cash (JPY / USD)
- PayPal
❌ Personal checks not accepted.
For stays over 1 month
- First month must be paid in full
- After that, billing is monthly
- Online payments accepted, or a valid card must be kept on file
